Job Summary

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

The Loan Assistant prepares and executes the funding of loan packages and related documentation in accordance with established guidelines and policies. This role supports the loan department by coordinating loan documentation, ensuring compliance, assisting clients, and facilitating accurate and timely loan closings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Prepare and execute funding of loan packages and documentation in accordance with established guidelines and policies
  • Submit loan applications and coordinate preparation of loan packages with the loan department
  • Review loan packages and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies
  • Coordinate special or non-standard loan documents with the legal department
  • Request title work from attorneys and ensure all title issues are resolved, and loans are properly recorded
  • Assist clients with loan payments, payoffs, and general loan inquiries in person and over the phone
  • Opening new accounts for lenders
  • Verify property flood zone status
  • Request and obtain insurance information from insurance agents
